Recently in the mobile gaming industry, there has been a trend of battle royale games running successfully. So, looking at the opportunity, the Call Of Duty franchise has brought a mobile version of the highly successful and popular computer game. Published by Activision and Garena and developed by TiMi studios, the mobile game was released in October 2020 and has been a massive success since then. By June 2020, it had amassed $327 million (US) with a whopping 250 million downloads.

Call of duty: Mobile – What is the game about?

The game has two modes- multiplayer and battle royale. In the multiplayer mode, players can play ranked and unranked matches. Traditional matchmaking, as well as private custom rooms, are available in the game. The battle royale mode features up to 100 players in which you can join alone, with a team of two people, or with a squad of four people. A call of duty mobile zombies mode was also added later after the release of the game.

COD Mobile season 9 has also been released in August with some added features. Downloading the call of duty mobile apk mod is not advisable.

Great combination between mobile and console gaming

Initially, Call Of Duty was a PC and console-based game and became a massive hit on those platforms. It was first released in 2003. Initially set in the background of WW2, the franchise gave us many new versions which were set against the backdrop of the cold war, futuristic worlds, and outer space.

The new Call Of Duty: Mobile can be played on mobile as well as a gaming console. It has got adequate controller support. The quality and experience of gaming on both mobile and a gaming console are equally satisfying and top-notch. Now you can play in whichever form you feel comfortable with.

The game has controller support for both iOS as well as Android version. The controllers officially supported by the call of duty: Mobile are Dualshock 4, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One controllers. You can also play the game on emulators like Bluestocks or the official Call of Duty: Mobile emulator. Forcing the game on other controllers will only invite functional discrepancies. Players using controllers will be matched with players using controllers only.

When you are using a controller, you can use it only during the game. Navigating through the menu or changing the layouts needs to be done by using the mobile screen. When the game was initially launched, it had controller support features. Later they were removed to fix some issues and then were provided again.

You will have to connect your controller by using Bluetooth.

  • Pull down the notifications panel.
  • Turn on Bluetooth. Long press it to enter the menu.
  • Select the option to pair a new device.
  • On the Xbox One controller, hold the connect button. For PS, hold both the PS and SHARE buttons.
